Sometimes, someone wants to keep textiles or the clothing of a loved one who has passed away because they bring back memories. Survivors may cherish them by wearing them or by storing items neatly in the closet, grabbing them every now and then to sniff the scent and allow themselves to remember.

 

People can also give the textiles a second life through upcycling. With these items, something new can be made so that someone can tangibly cherish the memory of the deceased. This can help people cope with grief and comfort them in the loss.
